Parks and Nature Preserves

There are a few parks and wildlife preserves where I have documenting some of the flora and fauna. These are some of my favorite places.

Costa Rica

There is so much to see in the rainforests in the Golfo Dulce area on the SW coast. Birds, butterflies, mammals etc. are all there in marvelous diversity.

These are from a trip to Tucson in April of 2012. We stayed at a lovely B&B called Azure Gate and photographed birds in Southern Arizona.

Moths

These moths are arranged by Hodges number. Most are from Minnesota, Maine and Florida with a few from Wisconsin, Nebraska, New Hampshire and places in between. So far, I've found more than 1,000 species just by turning on the porch light at night. I have had help in identification from the Moth Photographer's Group and BugGuide.
